‘Within Sight’ On Film

After having to postpone the 2020 tour, the Within Sight team were thrilled to have the opportunity to bring the show to life onscreen. With thanks to generous support from The Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Unlimited, and Glasgow Tramway, we worked with the fantastically talented Sarah Grant  and Katrina Allen to reimagine the piece for a digital showing.

We were keen to make sure that we held on to as many of the show’s theatrical elements as possible – everyone is missing live performance at the moment and so we wanted to share recorded theatre, rather than a short film.

The final piece premiered at the Unlimited Festival at the Southbank Centre, an event which celebrates the work of disabled artists. This was the first fully digital incarnation of the festival, and something truly special to be a part of. Knowing that audiences were able to watch and engage with Within Sight after such a long, imposed hiatus made us even more excited for the different possibilities in the show’s future.
